PARTY PEOPLE'S PRIVACY POLICY (GDPR COMPLIANT)

 

Introduction
We are a company registered in England and Wales (registration number 09088052) under the name Dominion Retail Ltd (Trading as and identifying for the rest of this document as Party People); the address of our registered office is Layton House, 3-5 Westcliffe Drive, Blackpool, FY3 7BJ. Party People has designated a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted by email at party-people@outlook.com or by post at: Unit 3, Lynx House, Brinwell Road, Blackpool, FY4 4QU.
Party People is committed to respecting the privacy rights of our customers and visitors to its website. This privacy notice explains how we collect, store and use personal data about you when you visit the Site, buy products from us or otherwise provide your personal data to us. It provides you with details about the types of personal data that we collect from you, how we use your personal data and the rights you have to control our use of your personal data.
 
What personal information do we collect about you?
When you access and move around Party People, or purchase a product from Party People, we may collect some or all of the following personal data about you:
    Name;
    Billing and delivery addresses, email address and phone number(s);
    Payment Method (typically credit card or debit card) details;
    Your Images and other User Content;
    Correspondence with and from Party People;
    Information about your use of the Party People website, and your browsing and online purchasing activities;
In order to take advantage of some of our Services, you may need to supply us with the personal details of a third party (for example, their name and address if you wish to send them a product). We will not use this information for anything other than providing the Services for which the information was supplied.
 
How do we use your personal information?
Your personal data will be collected, processed, stored and used by us, and passed to and processed by our data processors acting under contract with us. Our data processors are:
Weebly Inc – a website hosting company which stores customer images and personal data related to sales. Customer images are held no longer than 2 months after our final communication with our customers post purchase. Sales data is kept in line with UK legislation details retention of sales information for tax records.
PayPal – A payment processor which stores personal data related to sales. Sales data is kept in line with UK legislation details retention of sales information for tax records.
Stripe – A payment processor which stores personal data related to sales. Sales data is kept in line with UK legislation details retention of sales information for tax records.
Microsoft (Hotmail) – An email provider used by Party People to communicate with our customers relating to their purchases or enquiries only. These emails may contain personal information. We do not send any marketing emails ever, nor do we stores customer emails or email addresses longer than 2 months after our final communication with our customers post purchase.
Google Analytics – A website data analyst using anonymised information collected from cookies on the Party People website to provide us with data. For example, we may automatically log which parts of Party People you access, which web browser you deploy and the website from which you linked to Party People. You cannot be identified from any of this information. It enables us to compile statistics about the use of Party People, and to help target aspects of Party People to you more accurately.
Royal Mail – A delivery company, who will only have access to your name and address for delivery purposes.
Linnworks – An order management software package that maintains a sales database (for tax and financial legislative purposes) and invoice management.
eBay – An e-commerce website. eBay will only hold data for customer who purchase from our eBay listings rather than directly on our website
Amazon - An e-commerce website. Amazon will only hold data for customer who purchase from our eBay listings rather than directly on our website
 
When you purchase products from party People, we need to process certain data that allows us:
    To create personalised products selected by you;
    To associate your product purchases, with you, and to verify your identity;
    To pass your Product order for delivery by third party deliverers engaged by us;
    To provide customer support and improve your customer experience;
    To contact you by email and mobile communication (such as text SMS) in relation to the products or services you have purchased.
    To process payments you make for Products; When you input your Payment details with us, Party People does not store your card details on any of our systems, they are passed directly between our website data processer and one of our payment data processors, both of which use sophisticated encryption processes to exchange this data. We do not know your card details and do not wish to know your card details. No member of the Party People team will ever ask you for these details.
 
Disclosing your personal data
We will not disclose any of your personal data, other than to data processors (including deliverers and payment service providers) under contract with us. To enable us to provide our service, we share data with the following categories of organisations:
    Information technology (hardware and software) companies
    Payment processing companies
    Delivery and courier services
 We will not share your data with any other categories of organisation without your permission unless:
    we are legally entitled to do so (for example, pursuant to a court order or for the purposes of prevention or detection of crime or fraud);
    we are in negotiations with a third party for the sale or purchase of any of Party People’s business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;
    Party People, or substantially all of its assets, is acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by Party People about its customers will be one of the transferred assets; or
    We wish to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements to which you are party, or to protect our rights, property, safety, customers, or others.
 
Email and Text preferences
 
When you make a purchase, you will be asked for your email and phone number. We will only ever use these details to communicate with you about your current purchase if necessary. You can ask us to stop using these contact details with you at anytime by replying to, or sending us a direct email with your order number and the word “STOP”.
When you make a purchase or when we have important information to tell you about your account, you will receive service messages to keep you up to date.
 
Data Retention
Your personal details and any photos or other content will be deleted after 2 months of our last communication with you (or 2 months after your order if no communication is necessary). We retain other minimal data for tax, anti-fraud and other purposes in accordance with UK financial and tax legislation.
 
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) you have a number of rights you can exercise over your data. Your rights are:
    The right to receive a copy of your data free of charge (know as a Subject Access Request)
    The right to receive certain data in an electronic format that can be given to another provider (a portability request)
    The right to have data corrected if it is inaccurate
    The right to ask us to stop processing or object to processing under certain circumstances
    The right to ask us to erase data in certain circumstances
    The right to withdraw consent at any time when that is the legal basis for our processing

Our Site may, from time to time, contain links to the websites of third parties. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for those websites or their policies.
 
Security
Our Data processors employ significant technical and organisational measures to guard against unauthorised or unlawful processing of your personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, your personal data. We believe the measures implemented by our data processors reduce the likelihood of security problems to a level appropriate to the type of data involved.
For data held by Party People (in addition to that held by our data processors), we have security measures in place to protect our database of Users and access to this database is restricted internally and held on offline drives to prevent access by malicious online attacks. We also deleted all personal details and photos after 2 months of our last communication with you (or 2 months after your order if no communication is necessary). We retain other minimal data for tax, anti-fraud and other purposes in accordance with UK financial and tax legislation on our data processors databases only.
 
 
Deceptive emails
We will never ask you to confirm the details of your Payment Method by email or mobile communication. If you receive such contact, please do not respond to it.
